A move, a new brand identity and making memories
When the founder of Hutchinson Legal and its sister company, YourLawyer came to Wide Open Co., plans were underway to bring the two companies back together under one roof. We were tasked with redeveloping the Hutchinson Legal brand mark and applying it to the office facade as well as all critical touch points, in time for the move.
Wide Open Co.’s ability to respect the history and goodwill of the brand, connect with target markets, and develop a brand mark that clearly indicated a cohesive relationship with YourLawyer, was paramount to the success of the project.
The timing was right for a fresh look for Hutchinson Legal that conveyed caring and effective legal representation for life, conveyed their passion for success - all within a tight budget and turnaround time.
We designed a brand identity that is elegant, yet approachable - and most importantly trustworthy and personal. We brought in elements of the Your Lawyer brand to highlight the close relationship of the brands and focused on a colour palette that represented courage, integrity and loyalty - key brand values.
Our first step was to work with Hutchinson Legal to define their brand identity. This meant working closely with their team to understand the vision for success, what the existing brand mark meant to them and the new brand’s physical home. Our comprehensive brand strategy process enabled us to really get to grips with the direction Hutchinson Legal had in mind for their company and develop a brand that would help get them there.
After completing brand strategy and identity, we executed the roll out to ensure everything was ready for Hutchinson Legal’s new home.
We made a site visit, discussed logistics and designed ‘not to be missed’ 3D signage for the office facade and reception. We helped Hutchinson Legal share their story through reimagining brand identity, cost effective roll out and office signage.
We redesigned all stationery to showcase their new brand mark, without compromise to functionality.
We gave their quarterly newsletter a much needed overhaul, along with other client facing marketing collateral.
Providing a short-term solution, we applied the new visual identity to the skin of Hutchinson Legal’s website to ensure the new brand maintained its integrity across this high visibility channel.
We also developed an automated email signature generator, business card ordering system and templates for in-house letters and contractors to reduce ongoing costs for Hutchinson Legal.
We coordinated the production of each piece of brand collateral, as well as production and installation of external signage and lighting, and reception signage.
We developed an easy-to-use online style guide, with all brand elements in one place, so the new brand was easily accessible by all the Hutchinson Legal team.
Wide Open Co. championed our rebranding. Their passion shone through in their customer service, going the extra mile on numerous occasions. We are delighted with our new look.
